From first fix to future charm—progress in the Lincolnshire Wolds!
Tucked into the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Walesby Barn is quietly transforming. What was once a shell of stone and timber is now steadily becoming a warm, characterful retreat—with every beam, cable, and roof light bringing it closer to life.
The latest milestone? The new electric supply is finally in—cue a collective cheer. Upstairs, the remaining studwork is now complete, giving shape to the future layout, while downstairs insulation is in place, ready to keep things cosy. Behind the scenes, the first fix for drainage, waste, and plumbing is done—those less glamorous but absolutely essential steps that make everything else possible.
Outside, the barn’s stonework has been fully repointed, restoring its rustic charm, and a new roof light now floods the space with natural light. It’s a satisfying blend of old and new—heritage bones with modern comfort.
Next on the list: underfloor heating, ordering the kitchen, and choosing the bathroom white goods. The air source heat pump is ready to be fitted, and plans are underway for a beautiful new limestone floor. Slowly but surely, Walesby Barn is becoming the kind of place you’ll want to linger in—whether for a weekend escape or something longer.
Stay tuned for more updates as the barn takes shape. The best kind of transformation is the one built with care, vision, and a touch of countryside magic.
